Founded in 2006 by Dr. Robert Pierson, retired United Methodist Pastor from Oklahoma, we are a faith based non-profit leadership development foundation focused on raising up leaders for the transformation of the world through workshops, conferences, consulting and networking opportunities. Led today by Rev. Becky Pierson, Leadership Nexus is made up of nationally recognized pastors and innovators in sustainable church growth, branding and marketing, the entertainment industry, and creative leadership – all focused on one thing – to raise up leaders and churches for the transformation of the world.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDER, REV. DR. ROBERT PIERSON

Rev. Dr. Robert PiersonDr. Pierson founded Leadership Nexus in 2006 and served as Senior Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 37 years. During his tenure, he and his wife, Delia, grew the church from an attendance of 200 to over 2000 and established the largest singles ministry in the state.

He was also instrumental in founding The Large Church Initiative of the United Methodist Church and served as its chairman for 14 years.

During his ministry, Dr. Pierson served as chairperson of Mission Evangelism for the General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church, in addition to being the chairperson of multiple boards and committees of the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma. Recently, he served for many years as the Executive Director of CUGM, an ecumenical organization created by Dr. Robert Schuller.

Dr. Pierson attended the University of Oklahoma and Northwestern State University. He graduated from Phillips Graduate Seminary and received his doctorate in psychology and organizational administration from Oklahoma State University.

The Woodward, Oklahoma native authored two books, Needs-Based Evangelism and TELL.
